South Bend has plenty of fun offerings this September. Here are the events you should check out.

Summer may be over, but fall fun is just beginning! Are you browsing South Bend homes for sale and wondering what kind of community the area has to offer? Check out these fun September events recommended by our real estate agents.

  • Shinedown Concert on September 15th.
If you love rock music, you won't want to miss this concert at the Four Winds Field in South Bend. The concert will be headlined by Shinedown, a multi-platinum rock band, but will also feature guest appearances from The Struts and Ayron Jones. Tickets are still available, and the cost ranges from $45 to $129 each. The gates will open at 6 pm on the 15th. Be ready for the music to start at 7 pm!

  • Friday Night Bash on September 17th.
For good food and good tunes, head over to the Notre Dame Stadium starting at 6:30 pm on Friday, September 17th. There will be food trucks, drinks, and live music to celebrate the Notre Dame vs. Purdue game the following night! Tickets for the second annual Friday Night Bash cost $10 per teen or adult 12 and up. Kids 11 and under enter free. Food and drinks cost extra.

  • Melting Mann on September 18th.
Set yourself up for a cycling challenge with your choice of a 24, 35, or 60-mile race on Saturday, September 18th. Melting Mann is an annual event on dirt roads known for its challenging climbs. Kick off the race with coffee and homemade chocolate chip cookies first thing in the morning, and then stay until the end for your chance to win exciting prizes such as a set of performance wheels or a $2000 gift card. Finish the race and then chill at the celebration area with friends and family, good food, and great music.

  • Happy Fall Wood Pallet on September 19th.
Say farewell to summer and welcome fall in style with this fun painting class at Wine & Canvas. For $40, your ticket buys you a pressed wood canvas, free use of our acrylic paints, and a unique piece of fall art to hang on your wall. Bottomless sangrias cost an extra $10 per person. No artistic skill? No worries! A local artist will instruct you step by step. The class starts at 4 pm on Sunday, September 19th.

  • Brew at the Zoo on September 25th.
You may have visited the zoo with your kids over the summer, but you've never experienced it like this! From 2 to 5 pm on Saturday, September 25, enjoy admission to the zoo, snacks, unlimited samples of beer and hard cider from local breweries, and rides on the train and carousel. Top it off with music and games, and you've got the perfect field trip for grown-ups. Tickets cost $50, and proceeds help raise funds for the Potawatomi Zoo.

Just because summer is over doesn't mean the fun has to end! Fall is everyone's favorite season, and you'll find plenty to do in South Bend this September. Looking to call this thriving community your home sometime soon? Contact us today to start the search for your dream home.
